Ceramic and Marble Tiling: a tiler website with a built-in m² calculator
Aarron has been tiling bathrooms, kitchens and floors around Chelmsford for over 20 years, without a website, winning most of his work from people he'd already tiled for. When we showed him his draft website, he had one condition before going ahead: customers had to be able to work out their tiling area before they called. So we built it.

Tilers price by the square metre. Without measurements, every enquiry starts with the same back and forth: how big is the room, which walls, the floor too? Aarron wanted that sorted before the phone rang.
How the calculator works
The calculator sits inside the quote form. The customer enters the width and height of up to four walls and the floor, adds another room if they need to, and the form totals the area in square metres. It then adds around 10% for cuts and breakages and tells them roughly how much tile to order. Type the first wall height and the rest fill in, because most rooms have one ceiling height. The measurements arrive with the enquiry, so Aarron can talk numbers on the first call.

Better enquiries
Why it matters for a tiler
A form that asks the right questions gets better enquiries. The calculator is optional, so nobody is put off, but anyone who fills it in has already done half the quoting. That saves Aarron a site visit on jobs that were never going to be a fit, and speeds up the ones that are.
